So Whaddya Think? Teenagers – friend or foe?

Only a teenage can understand the pressures, demands, confusion, expectations, joys and sorrows of being a teenager. Yet society, from parents and schools, to magazine articles and television reporters, claims that it knows what is best for teenagers. With curfews, being underage for R-rated movies, required schooling, and age restrictions on driving and working, teens don’t have the full benefits of adults in our community. Yet sometimes teenagers are expected to behave as well as (or better than) adults do. Describe how teenagers should be treated in your opinion

So Whaddya Think? When I Grow Up…

So Whaddya Think? When you were really little, it was kinda fun when people asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and everyone expected you to give cute answers like princess or baseball player, but now that you are getting older, and closer to finishing school and getting a job, that question is sometimes harder to answer. Maybe you already know what you want to be when you grown up, but for most of us, that question opens a lifetime of opportunities to experiment with who we are and how we want to spend our time and talents.Take a few minutes to brainstorm some possibilities for your own future.

So Whaddya Think? Are they out there?

So Whaddya Think?Little green men. Aliens. UFOs. Space Invaders. Is there anybody out there? Extraterrestrial life is life originating outside of the Earth. Its existence remains theoretical; there is no evidence of extraterrestrial life that has been widely accepted by the scientific community. But many people believe that there may be life on other planets, and that we may contact or be contacted by these life-forms soon.

So Whaddya Think? If I were in charge…

So Whaddya Think?Whether you read the news online, watch the scrolling news bar at the bottom of your television shows, or hear about current events from friends, it’s hard to avoid the realization that the world is full of problems and that the United States is facing some major challenges. What would you do differently if you were in charge? You could write an e-mail to the President of the United States telling him what you think should be changed to make the United States a better place to live. Or write your federal representatives about what you think should be changed to make Kansas a better place to live.
BONUS: Check out these biographies on the current president of the United States.

So Whaddya Think? Gratitude

So Whaddya Think? It’s the little things in life—the things we encounter each day– that are the hardest to see.
Reflecting upon the things in your life that are meant to make you smile, give you peace, or instill a feeling a joy—those little things that are rarely acknowledged– should give you a sense of gratitude.
Expressing gratitude on a daily basis helps us to keep perspective in difficult times and reminds us of our bountiful joy during good times.  Take a few minutes to feel your gratitude for what is wonderful and beautiful in the world.
