Don’t miss the rock band thesistermaria! Pop and popcorn will be provided after the first set. Awards and prizes for YA Summer Reading will follow the final song.

This program is for people 12-18 years old. No registration is required.


"thesistermaria" is the solo project of singer/songwriter Martinez Hillard. A Topekan for the last 15 years, he draws inspiration from his town to create his eclectic yet accessible melodies rooted in folk, new wave, dark pop and rock. He spent 2005 performing regionally in support of his two latest releases: "Let Go of/Hold On to the Gold" and "Mister Sister & the Sister Family." He will be accompanied by multi-instrumentalists Phil Canty, Jeff Milberger and Brett Resnick.
